Legacy Farmers Cooperative is a locally owned farmer’s cooperative, with divisions representing agronomy, grain, fuel & petroleum and a lawn and pet retail store. Legacy was established in 2014 upon the merger of Blanchard Valley Farmers Cooperative and Deshler Farmers Elevator.
Under the astute leadership of CEO Mark Sunderman, Legacy Farmers Cooperative is structured into four distinct divisions. This strategic organizational framework enables efficient operations and effective management across our diverse business portfolio. CEO Sunderman's visionary guidance ensures synergy and alignment within each division, fostering innovation, growth, and sustainable success throughout the cooperative.
The General Offices of Legacy are in Findlay, OH (population of about 40,000) and are located in the northwest section of Ohio. Findlay is located on I-75, less than 50 miles south of Toledo, 92 miles north of Columbus, and 137 miles west of Cleveland.
We are in a beautiful rural farming area, but also with many amenities. We service Allen, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Henry, Putnam, Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot Counties.
We are very proud of our divisions - Grain, Agronomy, Petroleum, and the Lawn and Pet Retail Store. We are 150+ employees strong and are growing in knowledge and experience every day.

The Board of Directors of Legacy Farmers Cooperative comprises nine esteemed members dedicated to serving our valued member-owners. Each director undergoes a rigorous voting process by the membership, ensuring representation that aligns with the cooperative's mission and values. Their commitment spans a term consisting of three three-year periods, during which they diligently steward the cooperative's interests, uphold governance standards, and champion the needs and aspirations of our member-owners.
